Titanium Suzuka Circuit

We presented “Titanium Suzuka Circuit” wishing prosperity of motorsports and cerebrating the new look of the circuit and Fomula-1 GP on this weekend. It is now displayed at “Welcome Square” near the main gate. President, Mr. & Mrs. Moriwaki and two MORIWAKI members who created the object make a presentation in front of media today. It will be relocated after the Fomula-1 this weekend. Please come and see it at Suzuka Circuit.

MD600 race report from All Japan Superbike Championship in Okayama

GP250 class, GP2 Proto; MORIWAKI MD600

The MD600 shot out from the start and left everyone behind. Constantly lapped under 1min33sec and won the race, by more than 7 seconds lead from closest GP250 machine.

Qualifying at Okayama, All Japan Championship

Class: GP250, Category: GP2 Proto, Machine: MORIWAKI MD600

Qualifying: 1st 1min31.915sec

MORIWAKI MD600 got the 1st position on the grid, followed by GP250 rider and former WGP rider Yuichi Ui, 1min32.911sec.

Brief report

GP250 class qualifying session started 10:35 Saturday morning. Shogo Moriwaki timed 1min31.915sec earlier in the session and came back to their pit to try different machine setup. He went back to the track to further improve his lap time. He came to a hair-pin corner, mistaking his line and crashed. No improvement in latter part of the session, however, he managed to stay on top of the list.

The race will start in 7hrs time. Let’s hope for the great win at the debut race.

A news flash from All Japan Championship Superbike in Okayama

Shogo Moriwaki timed fastest lap time in 250GP class with MD600 during the A.R.T. joint test; 1min32.348sec. It was a half second faster than his closest 250GP machine competitor, Yoichi Ui. It was a great start of the weekend.

Our objective is not just to win the race but how much gap we can create between current 2 stroke 250 machines. Let’s enjoy the weekend.

MORIWAKI RACING had left the shop to participate the All Japan Championship race this weekend with the new developing Moto2 machine: MD600.

We are bringing updated version from the ver.7 in Indy MotoGP. Shogo is taking the machine to the top of the podium in GP250 class this weekend.

Suzuka city special postage stamp “Motorsports city, Suzuka” on sale from September 18

Suzuka featured postage stamp is now available to present the city as a motorsports city. Suzuka’s motorsports have been recognized domestically as well as internationally and many constructors are based in the city.

MORIWAKI RACING 8hrs CBR1000RR is in one of the stamp design.

The stamp set is sold at most of post offices in Suzuka, Kameyama and Tsu city. It will also be sold at Shiroko train station on Oct 2 and 3, the Fomula-1 week.

Total Prize of 1,700,000yen! 2010 MD Prize King Series & MDP Series is starting

MORIWAKI ENGINEERING is setting up a prize program “(Provisional title) MD Prize King Series & MDP Series” for riders and teams who are participating All Japan and regional championships in Japan to support their activity.

MDP stands for MORIWAKI DREAM POINT.

Total prize of 1,700,000JPY

(Provisional title) MD Prize King Series

Give 50,000yen to the winner of each recognized race and a rider who wins the most amount of annual prize money wins this series.

(Provisional title) MDP Series

Give points to riders who compete with MD250 in the recognized races and the most point obtained rider of the year gets prize money of 100,000yen and a trophy. 30,000yen for second place and 20,000yen to the third place.

The points are given to top 10 MD250 in each race.

MD600 goes to Okayama to participate 5th round of All Japan Championship

MORIWAKI Racing is going to bring a MD600, MORIWAKI Moto2 machine to Okayama on the last weekend of September to participate 5th round of All Japan Championship. MOIRWAKI Racing will be competing in GP250 class, having Shogo Moriwaki to prove the potential of the machine.

Australian Superbike goes to Philip Island to join V8 super cars

MORIWAKI has been supporting Oleon Oils Motologic Racing team, Australia. They won 2008 Australian Superbike Championship with MORIWAKI Zero Racing Exhaust installed Honda CBR1000RR. The defending champion Glenn Allerton is now leading the championship and his teammate, Wayne Maxwell is in 3rd on the ranking.

We received a news paper article and some photos from Motologic team Manager, Mr. Free. The photos were taken last month at Mallala, South Australia. The last 2 photos are Michael Jones riding MD250H. He is also now leading Australian GP-Mono championship ranking.

Those lucky ones in Australia should go down to Philip Island this weekend and see the big 2+4 event!!!
