Yoichi Ui once again marked fasted among GP250, following the MD600 in the class.

The race week started on Friday with A.R.T. official test under sunny sky. Because we didn’t have any luck in the weather last week test, it became the first Motegi run with completely dry condition. The qualifying session started 10:35 on Saturday morning. Shogo Moriwaki marked 1min54.682sec at earlier in the session. He came back to his pit to revise some setting and went back to the track. He improved the lap time almost another second, finished the session with 1min53.758sec, top of the time sheet.
