The round2 of MotoGP/moto2 class is about to start in Spain!!

2 weeks from the season opening round, now the MotoGP is going to Jerez, Spain.  Toni Elias spent last 2weeks for treatment of his injury from the pre-season test.  He was the one topped the time sheet at previous tests, so definitely he is one to watch though the injury is still a question.

And Tom Luthi, who marked Moto2 course record time at the round1 and finished in 7th, and other MD600 riders will show great race at Jerez this weekend.  Moreover, Ivan Moreno from TEAM ANDALUCIA, who had a podium finish at CEV Buckler round1 will be joining the race with MD600 as a wildcard entry.  7 MD600s to follow… thank you for your support.

The Trophy Moriwaki 250 4T 2010 season started!

Moto_2_2 Guetti

Moriwaki250 4T Trophy, organized by Racing Link, started its second year in Italy. This trophy is dedicated to young riders aged from 14 to 26, features low running cost and equal condition race, and that can showcase the talent of the riders.  2009 champion, Luca Fabrizio, a brother of WSBK rider Michel, is now able to jump up to CBR600RR Cup class this year.

This is exactly what MORIWAKI is hoping for.  We wish more and more young riders train themselves with MD250 and take a chance to step up to the world class races.

Fujishima got 3rd at the round2 of South Challenge Cup!

The second round of South Challenge cup was held at Auto Polis Circuit, Kyushu last weekend saw Fujishima, MORIWAKI Club got 3rd in ST600 class.

It was his test ride for the coming 3rd round of All Japan Championship in May which will be at same circuit as the weekend.

Fujishima himself from Kumamoto-pref., Kyushu but it had been 4yrs since his appearance at the Auto Polis.  Although he didn’t have any pre-test ride on the circuit, he managed to pass the previous course record at the qualifying session, marked 1min57.7sec, got 3rd position start.

It was very close race and he lost his position to 4th sometime but gained his pace and caught up with top 2.  He made a mistake and that cost him 2sec delay from the top when he crossed the finish line, however, his pace was enormous when he was chasing up the top 2, marking 1min57.1sec, now it’s a new course record for the South Challenge Cup.

It was a great result for him considering the time he had to learn the course.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The third round of All Japan Championship will be at Auto Polis Circuit on May 23.  Fujishima and Yamaguchi from MORIWAKI Club will be competing in the race.  We like to ask your support to our Club riders.

JSB1000/J-GP2 race started 11:55 on Sunday.  Yamaguchi closely followed Konishi’s J-GP2 spec 600 and furiously battled all the way through the race.  There was the moment when his ST600 spec machine passed the J-GP2 machine as the race going to latter stage, but he finished in second, missing less than 0.7sec.  It was a great effort for Yamaguchi.

Swiss MD250H user, PCP Racing Team

We have received a message from PCP Racing Team manager, Mr. Peter Schmitter.  The team competed in IDM125 with MD250H in 2009 and continuing their challenge this year.

---

Excerpts:

The aim of our Moriwaki md250h project is to teach young riders and bring them to the higher level Supersport or Superbike, Moto2, etc... For that reason we are focusing from the beginning on 4-stroke bikes. Also we have developed a special training and methods of learning racing with a bike.

We called this the "Moto3" project. Last weekend we have been testing in Barcelona with our rider Dominic Schmitter (15 year).  Next to our Box was a Moto2 team with your great Moriwaki md600.

Barcelona2010001_3

Dominic rides the first time on a 600'er. His fastest time was 1:54:019. This was about 2.5s behind the Moto2 rider with a standard Superstock Yamaha R6. This is a great result and it shows that beginning with a Moriwaki md250h makes the kids really fast when they getting a 600'er.

Next weekend is the first race for the swiss championship superstock 600 on the Hungaroring. Please remember that we are doing both the IDM125 with the Moriwaki md250h and also the Swiss championship.

Sencerely

Peter

---

Dominic is one of those many riders who are getting benefit from training on MD250 and will have great racing career in the future.

MD600 the Japanese machine, taking the first pole position of Moto2!

The opening round of MotoGP is on at Losail International Circuit, Qatar and Toni Elias marked the fastest time at Moto2 qualifying on Saturday.

Despite the injury on his hand and ankle, he endured the pain and got on the top of the timesheet.  This is the professional work of a rider and the team.  It is the great start for the weekend, but it is very difficult to predict the race since it is the very first race in the history.  Toni Elias and other MD600 riders such as Tom Luthi, Fonsi Nieto, Lukas Pesek, Vladimir Ivanov and Yannick Guerra are ready to show their performance in the race.

Congratulations to Toni!  You have to stay up tonight to watch the race and cheer the MORIWAKI MD600s.

INTERWETTEN MORIWAKI MOTO2 TEAM: PREVIEW GRAND PRIX OF QATAR 2010

A press release from INTERWETTEN MORIWAKI MOTO2 TEAM

-----------------------------

INTERWETTEN MORIWAKI MOTO2 TEAM: GRAND PRIX OF QATAR 2010

In only a few days the waiting comes to an end. The MotoGP world championship starts a new season, already its 61st season. It will start for the third time in a row with the night race at the desert-track in Losail/Qatar.

The race track, which is located about 30 km outside of Doha city, was built in just one year and opened in 2004. The first MotoGP event took place in the same year on a Saturday. In 2007 permanent flood lights were added to the race track and the first ever night race in the history of the MotoGP world championship took place under flood lights in 2008.

Tom Lüthi finished the Grand Prix of Qatar last year with the sixth place and earned already at the first race of the season 2009 valuable championship points. Also this year the Swiss wants to ride at the top and seal the first race of the season with his first points in the new Moto2 class.

Tom Lüthi: I don’t know what is waiting for me in Qatar. We didn’t have the possibility to test the new Moto2 bike at a night test in the desert, therefore I can´t say how I will be able to handle the conditions there. I know that the Top 10 were very close in the last tests and I was only missing half a second to the Top. That´s not a bad start I would say. I really hope that we can stay with the Top in the race and finish it at least with a Top 5 result.

Terrell Thien, Teammanager: I am happy that it finally starts now and the waiting has an end. I think that after the last couple of tests we are well prepared for the season. Qatar suits Tom well and last year he was Sixth here. This year it should be possible to surpass this. I have a good feeling for this new season and I am excited to see what the new Moto2 class brings for us.
