Mamoru Moriwaki (CEO)
It is difficult to express my feeling with words. The victory at Jerez GP was a great pleasure to me.
This is very competitive class with many prominent constructors from all around the world. And I was overwhelmed when Toni Elias, Gresini team took pole position despite his injury, and Thomas Luthi, Interwetten Moriwaki team finished in 7th at the race even though he had limited amount of riding before the race, and all other MD600 riders made their great results at the opening round.
And now, it is only the second round and Toni Elias won the GP race and Thomas Luthi came in 3rd at the same race. We could not imagine any better result than this. We are very impressed and all MORIWAKI members who worked so hard in Japan shared the deep emotion.
The championship only started and we have to concentrate on every race, however, I am greatly delighted that we were able to provide our machines to the competition.
I would like to express my gratitude to Dorna Sports, FIM, IRTA and other concerned parties and members who gave their effort to establish this class, and to teams and riders who chose our MD600.
We will continue our research and development to be able to provide more competitive machines to the class as the championship continues.
I am very proud that, as a compilation of my last 36years of experience, we are able to have an opportunity to prove our acquired engineering skills at world championship class, and our MD600 is raced by number of great riders.
